Australia Day 2014 Style Guide

So, This weekend is going to be my first Australia Day! I have been trying to find the perfect outfit for my long day and night of BBQs and parties! As I was searching high and low for my ideal outfit, I thought I would share some of my suggestions with all of you and give you some idea (that is my followers down under).

I think that the options I have chosen have a little something for everyone. Since its Australia Day and the majority of parties are going to be outside and/or BBQs outside, I have this overwhelming urge to dress super bohemian. Some of the pieces I have chosen are a crop top and high-waisted short duo, a super cute leopard romper, and an amazing white and silver maxi. For the crop top and shorts outfit, I imagined the scarf being tied up on my head kind of like this .

I LOVE each outfit and it will be intersting to see what route I actually end up going on Sunday or if I go in a completely opposite direction. Ill have to wait and see until Sunday.

I like to think of this outfit as my own personal version of a canadian tuxedo. I love the layered look with the blazer over the chambray shirt. The dark denim on the bottom breaks up the outfit a bit more and doesnt give it that severe denim on denim look. While taking these photos it was about 30 degrees celcius and 90 percent humidity... not so fun.

After going to the Gold Coast twice this weekend and laying on the amazing beaches of Queensland's coast, I couldnt help but just feel a summertime vibe today. These pieces just seem like they would add a perfect light, and airy feel to any summer day. I am looking forward to being beachside until the very last days of summer this year.

Im back in Brisbane and the weather is amazing right now! Its really hot but sitting by the pool or beach is absolutely wonderful.

I finally got to go back to Newport Beach for the first time in almost a year! I love Newport Beach so much and I have a routine of my favorite things that I always do when I'm there. I love walking along the top of Corona del Mar and thought this would be an amazing setting for a shoot. Especially since Im wearing my new Michael Kors hightops (a recent Christmas present). I love the sporty vibe of this outfit and hope you do too.
