Franck Muller, Casablanca 1597

Franck Muller, has a very good nack for creating contemporary time pieces. In its 20 year experience it has proven to be the leader in design, engineering and manufacturing. Of late is their contribution to the exceptional Giga Tourbillion perpetual calendar.

However .. The Mens Casablanca 1597 is a simplistic piece from its vintage collection. A simply designed watch with a large touch of elegance.

Few Features that hold good merits like the, salmon-colour face Casablanca dial giving a sense of age complete with the luminous Arabic numerals. Added for a sense of mystery of far away places.
It's stainless steel tonneau shaped case, conceals the leather strap hidden clasp.  Offering detail not often seen in this age.

This is a simple design but eye catching and stylish vintage piece. The sophistication of a man in suit and a casual sport orientation would suit the setting for this piece, horse race track.   Going nicely John Varvatos suspenders with a Canali Plaid Sportscoat above a tightly laced Salvatore Ferragamo leather pair.

The Casablanca featured retails at $11,400.00 and is available at our friends at Seregin's, Down Town San Francisco.

Character Recognition

Breitling Navitimer Automatic Chronograph stainless is a luxury swiss, in a class of its own. The high end concept deisgns of Brietling, ticks with precision engineering at a height of wings. Encompassing elegance in design is what the brand has become known for throughout its 130 year history.

Instruments included in this piece are tachometer, Bi-directional Rotation Bezel, date display, scale , side rule, 24-hour world time and luminous hands. What you could expect from the leading German watch manufacture.
Holding strong to its reason for design the instruments and reputation place it within the retail cost of US $9,000.00.

Looks and appeal of this piece hold a sense of distinction and class. Expected from a watch that has been rarely changed in design, since its introduction into to cockpit in the 1940’s. It’s tanned toned bezel, makes the contrasting and smooth transition from the noble black face back to strongly wrap polished stainless steel band.

A watch for an occasion of recognition and suggestive of a defining character. An important meeting tool, the Bietling Navitimer will do the negotiating for you.

Gucci Diamond Chronoscope

When thinking of a quality watch that has a long credited history of producing a high standard of Swiss design, you don’t think Gucci.  And the 17 c Gucci Diamond Chronoscope wouldn’t fall far from that suggestion.

The features only holding any credit is its stainless steel casing, quartz movement with chronoscope function, two chronograph sub dials including sub seconds and three easy to work crowns. These are all pretty standard leaving it with no much merit.

What it has got, that others do not. Gucci flare.
Or….. that obnoxious feature, that still is guaranteed to make a couple of eye glances.

This ‘flare’ comes in the watches Diamond G shaped bezel.  The one featured is a 17 ctw piece holding 54 round cut diamonds. To its credit it does hold some class that is introduced in the ‘off white’ face plate and gold bezel. The mix of neutral colours does soften the G piece somewhat. Held together with the stainless steel casing that does offer a slight connectivity to its features.

The style that is common with Gucci has held true in this design. For the young alpha male looking to turn heads with its mainstream name. Whatever the event this can be worn well with an intent to attract attention. The right recognition for a brand name, that sits a little below the US$ 3,500.00 price tag.

Now a dominate company in the high end designer wear, the companies reputation is consistently reinforced with such pair designs as the Maceo Vintage.

Let’s Start this off with a BANG!

What better way to kick off +MAN, then with the Hublot Big Bang, Steel Ceramic 44mm.

Retailing for US $10,000, the Big Bang is well within Hublot’s conquests for ‘a fusion of Art and design’. The watch offers a great start to anyones sport watch collection.

With standard features common to most Hubolt designs within this price, it includes Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment and Satin Stainless Steel casing.
The Big Bang Steel Ceramic gives the owner a glimpse of its 4100 self-winding chronograph movement, through a crystal sapphire back case. It also comes with one of the most distinctive authenticating system including its own wise key and USB attachment. For you diehard Hublot fans, you will even receive a hand written warranty from Mr. Hublot himself.

What I like most about the Big bang is its sport design, polished steel finish and rubber strap comfort for extra motion comfort. This is a watch suited for the active owner. Some sails on the bay and/or active sports wear would suit well for this exceptionally comfortable design. But, I am not prejudice when it comes to this beautiful timepiece, pair it with anything from a sports jacket to a polo and it is sure be a statement.

Something cool about the Hublot brand…  within months of the brands birth the brand was worn by the king of Greece, Spain, Sweden and the prince of Manoco landing it into swiss-watch royalty in the 1980’s.
