Zara Leather Shorts + Blazer

Photos by Adam Lambert

Zara Blazer (similar here) // Zara Leather Shorts (similar here) // Zoe Wittner Booties (Love this pair!) // Alexander Wang Marion Satchel

Since I am a young professional trying to break into the working world, I wanted to put on an outfit that resembled a working out but with a sexy twist. Now saying that, please don't wear this outfit the next time you go into work. I am not sure what your boss would say about coming to work shirtless, but I can only imagine not very good things. BUT, lets say you had a long day of work on a Friday and your in a pencil skirt, or slacks and a blazer. You normally don't want to go out with girlfriends in some boring work outfit. No fear! Just stick a pair of sassy leather shorts in your bag. Another option that requires less luggage is wearing a leather pencil skirt, but that's only if you can get away with wearing this to work (props if you can). After work put on your leather shorts and take off your blouse to reveal some skin under that blazer. Pair with some amazing strappy sandals or a pair of pointed booties, like the shoes I have on. You are now prepared for a night out on the town and looking HOT might I add.

ALSO! two of the four items I added are on sale!

Nancy King Luna Fur Jacket

Photos by Adam Lambert

Nancy King Luna Fur Jacket (similar) // Freja The Mother Vegan Leather Pants // Tony Bianco Heels (similar) // Trouve Chambray Shirt (love this option) // Jennifer Fisher Necklace // Gucci Mini Shoulder Bag (great option!) // H&M Belt (similar)

This Fur jacket is absoultely EVERYTHING! I decided to belt the jacket to give it a bit more shape on my body. I paired it with a chambray shirt, faux-leather pants and a kick ass pair of peep-toe booties. This look is perfect for a night out or just a cold day when you want to grab any and everyone's attention.

This beauty is one piece in the new upcoming line by Nancy King. Nancy King is a Brisbane based clothing line designed by the amazing and lovely, Sharni Lindsay. Miss Lindsay's previous collections have had colorful prints displayed across different kaftans as well as beautifully made shoes. In this upcoming line she still keeps her main aesthetics by creating beautiful new styles of kaftans with vibrant new prints, but she has also added flowing dresses in THE colors of the season among many other pieces that are sure to drive any girl crazy. And not to mention this beautiful fur jacket along with one other, The Isabella fur jacket (recently seen on Australian Fashion Blogger) are thrown into the mix.

I personally cant wait to get my hands on the new line by Nancy King, you can keep your eyes out for it and check out previous lines at:

Three of Something + Rockstud Valentino

Photos by Adam Lambert

This outfit is really relaxed and perfect for a Sunday brunch or a casual day out with your boyfriend and/or girlfriends! I loved the scenery of this street. It had the most amazing Queenslanders (the style of houses in Brisbane) and the minute Adam and I drove by it, I knew that it would be a perfect setting for this outfit.

This amazing top by Three of Something has the most beautiful hem on the bottom of the shirt. I love a good ruffle and this top has it! Its flirty and girly. I just wanted to spin around in circles and swish it back and forth the whole time I was wearing it. You can buy this top at the wonderful, The French Peg in Paddington, Brisbane

or visit their site here: The French Peg

I have been hard out at school recently so I am sorry for the lack of posts but this week I am getting myself together and there will be much more outfits to see I promise!

I am wearing a exciting designer in a post in the VERY near future! Keep your eyes out for it people! Its will be AMAZING.

Joie Clothing + Finders Keepers + Windsor Smith

Since summertime is coming to an end in Australia, I thought I might as well get in some summery outfits while I still can. These shorts and this shirt are both from The French Peg in Paddington, Brisbane. The color of this Joie top is such a beautiful blue and when I paired it with the white/grey of these highwaisted shorts, it looked amazing! The Gillie heels by Windsor Smith are some of my favorites. I usually throw these on and they just add so much more to any outfit. They look great and are so affordable!

This week I started my masters program and I was so excited to start... until I already got homework. This semester is going to be so hard already. Wish me luck!

Also, Make sure if you are in Australia to visit the amazing girls at The French Peg. They are so great and they have the best selection of American and Aussie designers. I could wear everything in their store.

You can also shop their online store at:

Wishlist: Pastel Pinks

Wishlist: Pastel Pinks

Pastels and specifically pastel pinks have been spotted everywhere from the runway to the streets. I especially love this trend and have my eyes on numerous items in this fresh color. I think that that these feminine pinks are giving outfits that pop they need.

I really enjoy the thought of these pastel colors in the winter. It breaks up the constant blacks, greys, and whites that always adorn my closet in the colder weather.

From a long coat to a pair of wide leg trousers, everyone has to get their hands onto some pastel pink.

Mother Denim + Acne + Tweed

Photos by Adam Lambert
Shop The Look

Mother Denim Faux Leather Pants // Acne Tank (similar here) // Alexander Wang Large Marion Satchel // Six D Rings //  Vanessa Mooney Necklace (Here and Here) // Zara Heels (similar here and here) // Tweed Cropped Jacket (love this option)

If you haven't noticed yet, I LOVE leather. Leather pants, leather trimmed shirts, leather shorts, leather skirts, leather jackets, and obviously leather bags. I don't know what it is about leather but the second I put on a piece that has any leather in it I automatically feel chic. The weather in Brisbane on the other hand is making it extremely difficult for me to wear anything I truly love. Like leather, layers, and fur.

The tank and the leather pants in these photos are yet another amazing bargain I got from Calexico on James Street. The Acne Studios top which was originally priced at $170.00 I got for only $25.00. These Mother Denim pants were sold for $300.00 which I got for only $60.00. The savings that were made at this sale are still seriously blowing my mind. If only that store had a sale everyday...

Go and Follow me on Instagram at @katieeveblogspot and you can see the video look book I did for this outfit.

You can also follow me in my everyday life!

Helmut Lang Top (love this one and this one) // Seven for all Mankind Boyfriend Jeans (love this pair) // Alexander Wang Large Marion Satchel // Asos Hollywood Heeled Sandals

Its been a while since I put up a new outfit post but this was well worth the wait! I am obsessed with this Helmut Lang top that I got from Calexico on James Street. You know that sale I said I went to a couple weekends back? Well this shirt was $460.00 marked down to $90.00. Talk about savings! Obviously I had to include my new bag in this outfit (expect to see it in a lot more photos).

In other news,  I hope everyone in the States enjoyed their long weekend this past weekend!

Next week look out for a post on my Instagram, @katieeveblogspot,  (and possibly Katie-eve.blogspot.com) for a video lookbook of this outfit and a couple others. I did a killer video shoot this morning with my good friend Laura Brain. She is an amazing photographer for Moda Creative in Brisbane.

Isabella Lonnginou's Work Room

This week I had the pleasure of visiting my good friend, Isabella Longginou, in her studio. This magical area in the bottom of her gorgeous house, is where she designs and sews her amazing pieces. While I was snapping photos and chatting, Isabella was cutting patterns and making custom orders to be shipped out that following day.

Every time I go over to her house and her work studio she makes me fall in love with everything she has created and is in the works of creating. Her new Summer/Spring line has dropped on her website this week (pre-orders are already being taken) and although the line is small, I find myself wanting every piece. This Brisbane native has a keen eye for creating chic, romantic and flirty sillouhettes that make any girl feel amazing. Besides having her own line that is sold to the public through her website and in some select places, she also has made a business of making custom orders. Isabella loves making outfits for herself when she has special occasions. Every time she steps out in one of her custom made garments for a night on the town, a wedding, or a dinner party, she has her friends making orders for the same exact outfit by the end of the night.

I have been close with Isabella since moving to Brisbane and I have always wanted to sit down and have an interview with her about her line, her goals, and her vision. Now I have finally gotten the chance to do that! I cant wait to share it with you all!

What was the inspiration for your S/S 14' line?: You know its funny, I always try and think of what my inspiration is and I honestly dont have just one. I am constantly looking at magazines and editorials, I cover my studio with everything that inspires me (as you can tell).  Once I see something I like, I get an inspiration to make something. It feels like each piece comes to me separately. After making a few pieces out of fabrics and materials that I love, I always think of other pieces that I can make out of the same material.

Who is the IL customer?:
IL inspires the beautiful, the playful and the feminine. Her pieces attract women who want to look classic and chic in their every day lives whilst still maintaining a form of simplicity and ease.

Who is your favourite designer?:
My favourite designer would have to be Gucci. I love the modern 70's theme that flows through each collection. All pieces are so wearable, so inspiring and just "cool".

If you could sell your line in any department store or boutique what would it be?:
I would love to have my collections in David Jones and if I were to choose a department store overseas, I would choose Bergdorf Goodman.

What direction do you see your label to going in the next 5 years?:
Within the next 5 years I am hoping to be stocked in boutiques across australia and within the next 10 years to be stocking overseas and to have my own shop/s either in Australia or overseas.

Ive put up the pictures of Isabella's newest line. You can order all these pieces at Isabellalongginou.com.au

Cargo Green J Brand Jeans + Tony Bianco

Photos by: Adam Lambert

J Brand Jeans (love these) // Zara Shirt // Tony Bianco Kris Boots // Michael Kors Watch (love this one!)

I love these J Brand jeans so much and to make them even more amazing, I bought them about 5 months ago for 40% off. No matter what time of the year, I think this shade of green goes great with all sorts of outfits and occasions. I paired them with a black belt, white shirt, and snakeskin peep-toe booties for a more edgy but casual look.
