Mombasa Rose

Mombasa Rose Tartan Jumpsuit (also, Here) // St. Frock Leader of The Pack Leather Jacket // Trouve Chambray Shirt (similar Here) // Wittner Topper Heels (LOVE this option) // Alexander Wang Large Marion Satchel // Gold ID Choker (similar Here)

The one thing that I love about living in Brisbane is the fact that I can continue to discover new boutiques and places to shop.

Mombasa Rose is a E-boutique based in Brisbane set on giving you the hottest trends straight to your doorstep. They recently contacted me in hopes of collaborating and I was more than happy to work with such an amazing e-boutique!

Mombasa Rose sent me this chic little tartan playsuit which I decided to style with some leather, denim, and leopard heels. I love the mixed print combination of tartan and leopard. I think it brings an outfit together with something extra special and unique. To finish this outfit off I threw on a chunky gold necklace.

Mombasa Rose will be featuring an exclusive interview with me on their blog along with some of the photos I took in their playsuit plus one other amazing piece that will be revealed next week. So head on over to their blog to check it out!

Parental Advisory

So needless to say, I am obsessed with Alexander Wang. I got this amazing "parental advisory" muscle tank at 50% off which basically made it one of the better purchases I have ever made. What makes it even better is that is only one of the items I got at yet another unbelievable Calexico sale. You will be seeing my other purchases very soon.

Usually when I think of leatherette track pants, the word "comfortable" doesn't immediately come to mind but these pants are seriously amazing. I could wear them as sweats around the house if my lounge wear took a turn for the worst. They are super chic and easy to translate from day to night.

You can purchase them from the amazing St. Frock in Sydney, Australia.

I have been completely MIA lately and thats because my schedule and life have been beyond hectic. But I promise that it will all be worth it because the relaunch of Katie Eve is going to completely rock everyone's world.

I have never been as proud of anything as I am of the work I have done for the relaunch of my blog. This new website is my baby and I hope that everyone will love it just as much as I do. In celebration of the relaunch of Katie Eve, I will be doing a series of give aways. Tune into my Instagram feed to find out more details about the giveaways and of course the launch date of the new Katie Eve!

Isabel Marant X Equipment

Photos by Adam Lambert

I have made some serious purchases recently of animal print that included this equipment shirt and a few other things such as some fabulous shoes that will be showcased in the next outfit post! These shopping trips also included the to die for boyfriend shorts above and my new obsession, the Isabel Marant Burt sneakers. I have been wearing the boyfriend shorts almost every other day and the same goes for the sneakers. I have noticed my style in the last few weeks has transformed into more of a casual and sporty vibe. Since I have been extremely busy with school and work it has been a perfect fit for life as of recent. The beautiful background of these photos were taken in my amazing new neighbourhood, New Farm. Some of my favorite buildings in New Farm are old wool mills that have been refurbished on the inside to be modern apartments, but on the outside they still have the old bricks. They are my go to setting for a perfect outfit shoot.

Zara Leather Shorts + Blazer

Photos by Adam Lambert

Zara Blazer (similar here) // Zara Leather Shorts (similar here) // Zoe Wittner Booties (Love this pair!) // Alexander Wang Marion Satchel

Since I am a young professional trying to break into the working world, I wanted to put on an outfit that resembled a working out but with a sexy twist. Now saying that, please don't wear this outfit the next time you go into work. I am not sure what your boss would say about coming to work shirtless, but I can only imagine not very good things. BUT, lets say you had a long day of work on a Friday and your in a pencil skirt, or slacks and a blazer. You normally don't want to go out with girlfriends in some boring work outfit. No fear! Just stick a pair of sassy leather shorts in your bag. Another option that requires less luggage is wearing a leather pencil skirt, but that's only if you can get away with wearing this to work (props if you can). After work put on your leather shorts and take off your blouse to reveal some skin under that blazer. Pair with some amazing strappy sandals or a pair of pointed booties, like the shoes I have on. You are now prepared for a night out on the town and looking HOT might I add.

ALSO! two of the four items I added are on sale!

Mother Denim + Acne + Tweed

Mother Denim Faux Leather Pants // Acne Tank (similar here) // Alexander Wang Large Marion Satchel // Six D Rings //  Vanessa Mooney Necklace (Here and Here) // Zara Heels (similar here and here) // Tweed Cropped Jacket (love this option)

If you haven't noticed yet, I LOVE leather. Leather pants, leather trimmed shirts, leather shorts, leather skirts, leather jackets, and obviously leather bags. I don't know what it is about leather but the second I put on a piece that has any leather in it I automatically feel chic. The weather in Brisbane on the other hand is making it extremely difficult for me to wear anything I truly love. Like leather, layers, and fur.

The tank and the leather pants in these photos are yet another amazing bargain I got from Calexico on James Street. The Acne Studios top which was originally priced at $170.00 I got for only $25.00. These Mother Denim pants were sold for $300.00 which I got for only $60.00. The savings that were made at this sale are still seriously blowing my mind. If only that store had a sale everyday...

Helmut Lang + Alexander Wang

Helmut Lang Top (love this one and this one) // Seven for all Mankind Boyfriend Jeans (love this pair) // Alexander Wang Large Marion Satchel // Asos Hollywood Heeled Sandals

Its been a while since I put up a new outfit post but this was well worth the wait! I am obsessed with this Helmut Lang top that I got from Calexico on James Street. You know that sale I said I went to a couple weekends back? Well this shirt was $460.00 marked down to $90.00. Talk about savings! Obviously I had to include my new bag in this outfit (expect to see it in a lot more photos).

In other news,  I hope everyone in the States enjoyed their long weekend this past weekend!

Next week look out for a post on my Instagram, @katieeveblogspot,  (and possibly Katie-eve.blogspot.com) for a video lookbook of this outfit and a couple others. I did a killer video shoot this morning with my good friend Laura Brain. She is an amazing photographer for Moda Creative in Brisbane.

Alexander Wang + Denim

Photos By: Adam Lambert

Outfit Details: Alexander Wang Skirt (similar here), Trouve Denim Shirt (similar here), Asos Hollywood Heels (here), Jennifer Ficher Necklace (here)

I bought this Alexander Wang skirt a while back and I absolutely love it! The detailing at the bottom of the skirt is amazing and whether its buisness or pleasure, I think that it can be worn for any occasion. I paired it with a chambray shirt and some heeled sandals for a relaxed but sexy look. Throw on a leather jacket and your set for a night out on the town!
