 I have made some serious purchases recently of animal print that included this equipment shirt and a few other things such as some fabulous shoes that will be showcased in the next outfit post! These shopping trips also included the to die for boyfriend shorts above and my new obsession, the Isabel Marant Burt sneakers. I have been wearing the boyfriend shorts almost every other day and the same goes for the sneakers. I have noticed my style in the last few weeks has transformed into more of a casual and sporty vibe. Since I have been extremely busy with school and work it has been a perfect fit for life as of recent. The beautiful background of these photos were taken in my amazing new neighbourhood, New Farm. Some of my favorite buildings in New Farm are old wool mills that have been refurbished on the inside to be modern apartments, but on the outside they still have the old bricks. They are my go to setting for a perfect outfit shoot.

This past week, not only did I have a week off from my Masters program at the University of Queensland, but my parents came to visit me all the way from California! I spent the week sipping champagne and dirty martinis in different beach towns along the Easy Coast of Australia. Not a bad break right?! One of my favorite places we visited was Byron Bay. Byron Bay has the most amazing vibe and its any girl's with a love for bohemian clothing, dream location. Sticking with the town's bohemian lifestyle and feeling some serious Coachella FOMO while scanning my Insta feed, I went full out with this festival inspired look. Believe it or not I am just sitting in front of my hotel room. I had a private villa that overlooked the rainforest around Byron Bay. You could even see the famous Cape Byron Lighthouse. It was a spectacular week and Im sad that not only my parents left but that I had to leave some of the amazing places we stayed at. 

The stand out piece in this outfit post is the amazing head piece sent to me by the lovely Jessica from Crowns by 5th and Farmer. She makes the most amazing head jewellery and her brand is becoming a necessity while circuiting the music festival scene.

Zara Leather Shorts + Blazer

Since I am a young professional trying to break into the working world, I wanted to put on an outfit that resembled a working out but with a sexy twist. Now saying that, please don't wear this outfit the next time you go into work. I am not sure what your boss would say about coming to work shirtless, but I can only imagine not very good things. BUT, lets say you had a long day of work on a Friday and your in a pencil skirt, or slacks and a blazer. You normally don't want to go out with girlfriends in some boring work outfit. No fear! Just stick a pair of sassy leather shorts in your bag. Another option that requires less luggage is wearing a leather pencil skirt, but that's only if you can get away with wearing this to work (props if you can). After work put on your leather shorts and take off your blouse to reveal some skin under that blazer. Pair with some amazing strappy sandals or a pair of pointed booties, like the shoes I have on. You are now prepared for a night out on the town and looking HOT might I add.

If you haven't noticed yet, I LOVE leather. Leather pants, leather trimmed shirts, leather shorts, leather skirts, leather jackets, and obviously leather bags. I don't know what it is about leather but the second I put on a piece that has any leather in it I automatically feel chic. The weather in Brisbane on the other hand is making it extremely difficult for me to wear anything I truly love. Like leather, layers, and fur. 

The tank and the leather pants in these photos are yet another amazing bargain I got from Calexico on James Street. The Acne Studios top which was originally priced at $170.00 I got for only $25.00. These Mother Denim pants were sold for $300.00 which I got for only $60.00. The savings that were made at this sale are still seriously blowing my mind. If only that store had a sale everyday...

I think that when any girl wears all black it gives her a little something extra. ESPECIALLY when the all black outfit is half leather. I absolutely love this look. I matched this all black and leather ensemble with some studded hightops for an even edgier but casual look. These sneakers are becoming some of my favorites but I am still trying to get my hands on a pair of Isabel Marant Bekkets (like every other girl in the world has been). 

This weekend one of my favorite stores in Brisbane, Calexico, had the most outrageous and amazing sale I have ever been to. They were selling everything in their store for 80% off. Their stock includes Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Acne, IRO, A.L.C, and many other fabulous designers. I got a good haul so I cant wait to show all of you on my upcoming blog outfit posts!

I love these J Brand jeans so much and to make them even more amazing, I bought them about 5 months ago for 40% off. No matter what time of the year, I think this shade of green goes great with all sorts of outfits and occasions. I paired them with a black belt, white shirt, and snakeskin peep-toe booties for a more edgy but casual look.

I like to think of this outfit as my own personal version of a canadian tuxedo. I love the layered look with the blazer over the chambray shirt. The dark denim on the bottom breaks up the outfit a bit more and doesnt give it that severe denim on denim look. While taking these photos it was about 30 degrees celcius and 90 percent humidity... not so fun.
